1995 Sukui Savage

I got a 1995 Suzuki Savage for starter bike to learn on. When I got it the rear brake light was out. When I replace the bulb (1157 long life bulb) the turn signals stopped turning on within 2 hours. The left stop then the right. Then the bulbs for the turn signals would normally stay on even if the blinkers weren't on. They went completely out. We checked the turn signal bulbs using a battery in a circuit they still work. Inspected under the seat it has a 20a, and 25a fuse. I replaced them both with brand new 20a fuses. Took the rear brake light bulb completely out, but it did not cause the blinkers to come back on drawing straws. Hoping to get some other suggestion, and if it is maybe a bad relay where is it located? Thanks for your time in advance.

The part should be a 2 prong square style 12V Turn Signal Flasher Relay?

Yes ,two prong, forming a right angle. (you can use an auto round one) it's just a little harder to place in the rubber holder (ask me how I know ) just make sure you get a standard one ,not the heavy duty used for 4 way emerg. flashers.
