Ya wait till the middle of the night when all the hornets are home in their beds asleep ...
Then ya sneak-up with a gasoline soaked blanket to tuck them in with . Its a nice thing to do , especially if ya pour more gas on top of the blanket after their all covered up .
Ya don't have to light it up , just the fumes are enough to let them know Exactly how ya feel about them. Roll Eyes

That video gave me "Night-mares too" . but it reminded me of a hollow tree near my house that was full of them giant hornets. --
We went "dangerous game" hunting with our pellets guns till we got tired of shooting , yea the more we shot the more they swarmed.
Then after a night of having the exit hole clogged with a "Gas-rag" , there was a 5 gallon bucket full of them dropped to the bottom of the hole. Of-course with their size it don't take but a few hundred of them to make 5 gallons !

These have been in Tennessee for 30 years that I know of. Embarrassed

yea they look exactly like this , and 1.5" to 2" long.

The ones that build the paper looking nests in our area are Bald Face Hornets....they are white/black and don't have any yellow color.
There was a nest under a Pine Tree limb that I didn't know was there, and when I lifted the limb and pushed the mower under the tree they came out and I instantly got 3 stings on the forehead - I heard a loud thump as they hit me at full speed!. It is a weird sting, as it does not throb or pulse like a bee sting - it hurts like somebody whacked you hard with a board and left a bruise.....and it hurts for several days but didn't swell much.

I really don't want to get stung by these little fellows every again.....it hurts!

my dog got pop-ed dead on the end of his tail by one of those Asian Giants , So , the way the dog talked about how it felt ya might have thought that the term : "Killer Bee" might have applied ? Grin

The tip of his tail swolled-up to look like a poodle " ball on the tip of the tail" hair cut .

I think the "killer bee's" were killing the domestic honey bee ??? Huh
