I had our dogs out on our private/community beach this morning for a walk....
Ran into a pretty famous retired Black man.
We started talking.
About fishing, dogs, the island, and to current affairs.

I asked him about the BLM.
Why haven’t they been more vocal of late?

He shared with me two things.

1. What happened to Kavanaugh, is very much like what happens to Black folk, in our legal system.....
That they readily see the inherent injustices because it is STILL a prevalent issue in many pockets of America.
2. They have jobs now, and that is keeping them busy and engaged.
No time to gather and promote, as they are busy living life on a daily schedule, etc.

I asked about Obama.
He said Obama sold out the Black voters.
That they voted for Hope and Change...
That he would govern anew, build up folks with hope and promise, as in, yes you can, instead of becoming a puppet for the same politics that Nancy Pelosi pushes through with her cronies of self interest first....

It was a great talk, I learned much, we shook hands and agreed to go out crabbing next year.

It’s ok, you can call me a liar, you don’t believe me...
I’ll get over it
