@JoG
Correcting situations sometimes requires a bigDefinitely America needed to do something about China's theft of intellectual property, but the tarrifs have nothing to do with that, in fact the Chinese ZTE company that broke sanctions with Iran was basically put out of business, which is what the GOP wanted and would have been the correct punishment to show the US was deadly serious. But then Trump reversed it which no one understood.
The political philosophical position of the GOP is that tariffs are not the way to grow the world's apple pie, and the pie must grow so that everyone get's bigger slices. And this is the point of my post, Trump already singled to China right at the beginning when he invited Taiwan to the White House and said the US was going to recognise China, he toughed talked then meekly backed down. Right then an there China knew he was full of bluster.
So when he starts off with Tariffs, which was a symbolic 34 billion, in other words, a drop in the ocean of the 500 billion trade, Trump must have thought China would swallow that but knowing he's a dunce China just called his bluff and of course they were right to do so.
You are simply repeating verbatim as you always do Trump's twitter feed, there's no point in your posting anything for the very reason that you just say whatever Trump says so we all are well aware of your position, there's never any reasoning, it's all just fantasy land.
Trump hasn't accomplished anything good. Stock Market up? Well it's been on an upward trend for quite some time so of frikken course its going up. Trump fools you by bragging about every stock gain, but when it has the largest drop in it's history as it did a few days ago due to the jitters settling in about the effect his tariffs are having you hear nothing. So people like you who just believe anything Trump says not matter how opposite it is get pulled in.
The notion that just because you have a real or imagined majority allows you to run over the others is BULLSHIT.I cannot see that has anything to do with my position, I'm not talking about majorities I'm talking about the whole world, how it has become, everyone's now determined to not cave in and it's a simple FU back and forth. In the end the world economy will suffer.
Just came across this on the NewYorker, explains Trump's modus operandi pretty well...
It is that the world economy is governed by Trump’s whims. Trumponomics is not a steady state. It is, by its nature, constant turmoil.https://www.newyorker.com/news/swamp-chronicles/will-trumponomics-collapse
