Posts: 23 Malta Gender:	Starting the Savage 06/30/18 at 03:44:15 I am finding it hard to start the bike first thing in the morning and sometimes even after a ride. It start smelling of petrol, I do tap the carb in case the float got stuck but still takes ages to start. I checked for air leaks which I found none....and I have Raptor Petcock any suggestions TIA .

I buy a used bike
I'm probably gonna stick a known battery in it.
Either the PO stuck in a cheap one to get it sold or it's the one that was in it for who knows how long.
Take it to be tested
Or
Get a good battery
Now is a good time to build a pigtail for a charger to connect to.
The clip together, two wire, sixteen gauge from a wiring harness out of a junker work fine.
