Justin, exactly what phone does she have?On a helpful note, Google has a new app in the App store that has finished out of Beta testing.
It is called Datally (as in "data tally" app) and what it does is SAVE YOU 35% on your tower data bill, no matter what carrier you use. It does this by compressing your data prior to sending it to the tower, so you use 35% less transmission data. It is a speedy AI type app, one of the first of many I hope.
Datally also watches your apps to see which ones are background pinging cell towers all the time and letting you know just how much they are costing you in data, per day. It suggests up any unused apps that are doing this sort of stuff, that you DELETE them and reinstall them if you should ever really need them.
It also helps Google spot old Google apps that are sending data that should have been canned a long time ago. Your phone maker choked your new phone with lots of this dated trash, and until now you had no real way of spotting what they were doing.
It also gives you a local listing of
all free WiFi sources that are near to you. This is neat if you are off on a motorcycle trip. If you are out on the road and need a break, it suggests where your next leg break should be --
a place with FREE WiFi of course.
