All this stuff is new to me, as I retire, etc, and thought I would see what part C & D might cost, etc.....

Filled out the needed info, and submitted....

Guess what, I didn't get no "instant quote", no......
All I got was a "people will be in touch with you" reply.

My phone is ringing off the hook with sales pukes.

Gee, I knew better, yet....... being stupid can sure be a pain in the azz  

MEDICARE.gov had all of the information for C and D parts, tailored to the customer's zip code. When I worked at Social Security, we answered many questions regarding same using that web site. So basically, There are Supplemental Plans (A thru J?) that offer additional fee for service coverage. Then there are Medicare Advantage Plans, which are HMOs which more or less replace the fee for service option, requiring you to use plan doctors, facilities, etc. Some include Part D, some don't. If you call 1-800-MEDICARE, expect to be on hold forever. But the web site was really comprehensive. You can also request "MEDICARE and YOU 2018" from the web or from the phone. It is very helpful in explaining the nuances of MEDICARE. Oh, and, welcome to retirement. Just wait until you see what it does to your income taxes!
