Hello Ray:

 I turned 74 yesterday - great day !
On Saturday I get together with the kids/grandkids.
I'm today in my 75th year on God's green earth and getting comfortable in my skin. (being sober in AA since 1989 has helped that !!)
Retirement is not what I expected .. it is far better  Wink
I just had to change/grow/mature to accept/realize/embrace it.

Don't look for yourself in your mind ... look in your heart.

Remember the words of the sage:
"If it makes sense it's not spiritual"  Smiley

I was going to sign this post with "Your buddy from the North" but that would be incorrect.
Just south of town here in Leamington is Point Pelee National Park. There is a sign in the park saying "42nd Parallel" which is exactly on the northern border of California .... so I'll sign off with

Your Canadian buddy from the south  Cool

Bob

Happy birthday Bob!

Well, the bike seemed to run better than it ever did, coming in, or more likely, I savored it more knowing what a simple joy riding deserted roads under the evergreens.....

Found the new crew, and about to get settled in.
Not much work to be had, as tooling is still setting up all the equipment needed to build the new aircraft, the 777X.

Most likely I sold my last job in a commercial
aircraft on Wednesday......

Funny thing, I have already been asked if there is anything they can do to make me consider staying on longer....

Nice folk, but like you share, I am going with my heart.
Just last night as I tucked in early for my 4am rising, my wife came up from downstairs......
Just to tell me how happy she is that I am growing into that person she knew I would be when she married me.....

Bob, it filled me up in such a way that I can’t explain.

Thank you buddy for your encouraging guidance!

Yes, sobriety is the first step for many who were blind to the truth, ain’t it a beautiful view  Smiley

MM , That's what I got planned , at least one day a week will be a all day ride and the other six days will be short rides to do errands or just to raise hell round town, still got a few years before I get to !
