Trouble with 10mm bolt on CC tensioner/plunger

As the title states...I can't get this 10mm (holds plunger to tensioner) bolt to loosen!!!

Is there a trick (I'm guessing no, as I haven't seen this in the forum)???

I can't seem to even get a wrench to hold the other side :/

I've taken a break, searched forum and reapproached but no luck

(And yup, I need a new tensioner set up...plunger was 19mm out)

SS forum is my only hope!

If there is a nut ,on the backside it's welded to the arm of the guide ,(I think the guide is just threaded ) It could be the bolt was installed with locktite , apply heat (I wouldn't use open flame) with a soldering iron or gun should work. perhaps you could use an old screwdriver with a round shaft, bob the tip flat and heat the end with a torch then hold it to the head of the bolt a few seconds before turning.

So heat would be a good idea. But if you turn the bolt the nut on the back will align with the wrench easier. Good luck.

If by "modified" you mean one that has a the plunger extended and a new hole is in a location that allows the plunger to go back into the housing....then the answer is yes.

I know I'll need more extensive work done..new chain & what not & I'll invest in the Versalvy tensioner at that point....I'm just tryin to get through the summer at the moment 😬

If your new tensioner is extended the same length as one from Vercy , your chain should not need replacement for at least 10,000 miles.
