Fuel leaking from the vents is due to a float valve problem.

Lutha,
Welcome to the forum.

Verslagen has probably given you the answer to your leaking carburetor problem. Keep us informed about how it turns out.

Again welcome. This is the place to solve anything that happens to a Savage. Smiley

Thnx 4 answers!

The fuel leaking is strange... I checked all checkable and rebuilded it with new parts... Sometimes dosent leaks for days sometimes leaks for days... And stops leaking with no operation on carb :v

The raptor petcock in USA costs 31$ shipped... in italy 100€ in store  Undecided

Don't forget to take that clear plastic hose off the top filter......it is there to protect the filter during shipping.

(Believe it or not, a few folks have installed the petcock with that hose over the filter). Wink

Did you also change the valve seat  and it's O-ring ? they come as a matched set . Seeing your comment under the last picture that the carb still leaks some times ,made me think it might be that or your float level may also be set to high. If your carb is still flooding you could be sending gas into your oil in the crank case. I'd be looking into this rather than thinking it's OK if it does it less often. It should never do it.
