There should also be rubber grommets and metal sleeves in the bracket, then a large washer over the rubber grommet....and I believe the nut is a locking nut. The stock muffler is very quiet.....it makes for a nice peaceful ride.

I’ll have to get nuts, washers, & the small metal sleeves. I can get all of those at Menards It will be cheaper than going to the dealer. 👍🏼 It might be too quiet, but we’ll see, I can always switch back.

I don't mind the noise, actually for me, the louder the better. The neighbors never complain about anything so there's no issue there. The Jardine scares my dog, my wife bitches about it too. Looking for an alternative. The way I see it, I'm sure I won't be happy with the stock muffler. That being said, the Jardine will be reinstalled. I'm just doing it out of curiosity.
