How telling.
Rather than call it a good idea, pretend that because you don't see how to make people do WHAT WE DO, and don't remember Trade Agreements, and don't remember TREATIES, and don't remember the pressure that the warmlarmists can bring on people
And ALSO don't remember what the final stage of
Negotiation is,
Tariffs..

But
Common sense
But
Precedent
But
Thinking for yourself
Original thought

Jog, what do you expect when you have no intellectual capacity?

Why do you think liberals label, and lump, to deflect, instead of debating ideas on merit?

Remember trying to reason with a two year old?

You can't.

I still don't think its enforceable.

Look at China's trade history in modern times.  Do you really think they will allow more US inspections on their territory, and has anyone calculated the estimated costs of enforcing US EPA standards of China's steel production techniques?  Who pays for that?

What you are recommending is boycott, which will cripple the US economy, or sanctions essentially.  We have all seen what economic sanctions get us, and China has an economic advantage.

So, you are saying the world has a unfair advantage over us because of the restrictions of our environmental concerns?

But isn't that what the United Nations, and other global committees, mostly funded by the USA, are tasked with ensuring fairness, and adherence, etc?

Seems the MAGA people buy the $300.00 tools?

Could be like:  “ Seems that the Rainbow Pride people don’t like a new Gun”
Or:  “ Seems like the Gun Club people, don’t like a new Purple Thong,  with orange dots."
Or: “Seems like people that proudly wear clothing which says, “Make America Great Again”,
would most probably buy made in the USA”

Really,  Didn’t know that.
Do you have a, ‘link’, where that was said?
(Perhaps it was a  A.F. Inspired, British TV  Comedian)

Or is that like a statement, a recent poster here said:
“…  AWhere did you pull that statistic from??  I’m thinking a dark place in the hiniezone?? …”

I heard Teddy Kennedy, the pillar of liberalism was very religious....

He took MaryJo down to the creek to baptize, messed up a wee bit, and yelled.....OH MY GOD

Yes, sorry about that.  Just had the grandchildren for several days and they are at that age where butt jokes etc are in great use. Grin Grin Grin
So I went for a slight variation. Roll Eyes

The US wont even require even competition between the states, with the move South of the automobile industry as a good example.

Wouldn't the truest form of capitalism be unfettered regulations?

Let the consumer decide.

Yes, sadly, as evidenced around here, some still need their mommies.
You call them a certain name, they whine.

Maybe we just all outta get dumb, and stupid, and call it a wrap!    Grin

We've seen what Corporations do.
Was it Love Canal?
Remember the smog days?

Getting the rest of the world on board with the smokestack scrubbers and other
Clean Manufacturing processes that OUR manufacturers are required to operate under would
Level the playing field economically
So
No tariffs needed

Yeah, I'll spell it out
Because
Nuance

And
That would accomplish a tremendous environmental protection step.

Why aren't our GENIUSES in D.C. TRYING to accomplish this?
