Rather than call it a good idea, pretend that because you don't see how to make people do WHAT WE DO, and don't remember Trade Agreements, and don't remember TREATIES, and don't remember the pressure that the warmlarmists can bring on people

I still don't think its enforceable.

Look at China's trade history in modern times. Do you really think they will allow more US inspections on their territory, and has anyone calculated the estimated costs of enforcing US EPA standards of China's steel production techniques? Who pays for that?

What you are recommending is boycott, which will cripple the US economy, or sanctions essentially. We have all seen what economic sanctions get us, and China has an economic advantage.

Was it Love Canal?
Remember the smog days?

Getting the rest of the world on board with the smokestack scrubbers and other
Clean Manufacturing processes that OUR manufacturers are required to operate under would
Level the playing field economically
So
No tariffs needed

Yeah, I'll spell it out
Because
Nuance

And
That would accomplish a tremendous environmental protection step.

Why aren't our GENIUSES in D.C. TRYING to accomplish this?
