Grips--- FYI

Just an FYI out there, as I was a bit naieve in my purchase.  I found an awesome pair of 1 inch grips on Amazon, had them shipped direct from China... First of all, over 35 days to get them, but that is ok as they were knock off R/S machined grips.   The down fall, the throttle tube side does not fit our lovely savage, as the diameter of the piece that connects to the throttle cable is about 1/8 inch too big.

Lesson learned only get grips that fit on the existing throttle tube, or you may wait for shipping for nothing.

Other than that.. Ride on my friends

I have a nice set of stock grips for sale.  They will fit the stock tube.   Smiley

For non stock grips you have to shave down all the ridges on the stock tube with a razor blade.  Or buy another tube.  But you might want to make sure you actually got 1" grips and NOT 7/8" grips.  The throttle side will be more than 1" in size.

I'm asking $40 (about half of new cost if I recall), but shoot me and offer.  I won't need them.

I have never paid over $20.00 for grips on any bike I've owned, and  never will. Usually, I change the stock grips on any new bike to something that absorbs vibration and fits my hand better.
