The instability I am suggesting has NOTHING to do with using different brands of good tires!!  That is pure poppycock!!!

I could understand the difference one experiences from having an old worn out tire and then replacing it with a new one.  THAT does make a difference.

I can also understand an issue with simply having the wrong tire pressures, but hopefully most knowledgeable riders will check that and fine tune as necessary.

But NOT using two different brands of well-known and respected brands!!  I've been at this for 55 years and put hundreds of thousands of miles on a variety of motorcycles to fall for that tire manufacturer's advertising gimmick to sell you more tires!

PMD well you got me on two counts ,I've only been riding for 39 yrs, and I've never run tires by two different makers ,but I have you on one count I've been riding my 95 Savage from new and in all these years it has been as stable at 80mph as it is at 20.

I think it's time to let this thread die out.
I've got my answer.

Thanks all.
