Did we miss this?

So Facebook and twitter, etc, said Russia tried to cause problems with our election, yesterday in testimony.
But they said Russia tried to feed the left information that would cause Trump problems with illegitimate election, etc....

WTF.........

Being played, or what?

Yeah, Russia tried to throw it to trump, when they weren't selling lies to the democrats to help her.
Have you noticed how much the website bullshit has started impacting more people?

Reality TV......
Facebook.

Jog, folks still continue to smoke knowing full well what it can do.
That fact is proof enough folks can't reason very well.

I think one of the largest contributing factors to public influence at this time are the online algorithms for marketing, and the "Like" button.

Its very easy now to read an article, not care if its true or not and just hit the like or share button.  This spreads crappy journalism like wildfire.

Also with the "Share" button we end up being corralled into groups of like-minded individuals all sharing and commenting on the same thing creating an illusion of solidarity when it many cases its not even close.

These algorithms reduce counter opinions so we have less debate among ideals.  You type on a pro-Trump forum and ads pop up to support that idea that direct you to more Trump Supporters, not a forum with multiple outlooks.

Makes it real easy for nonsense to spread, almost too easy.

You're correct.  I've seen it firsthand.  However, it goes much deeper than just Facebook and Twitter.  Let's just say I know some folks at Google and the reach that these companies have is mind boggling.  The aluminum foil hat group would even be surprised!

Likes and shares aside,
The dossier is a smear, very negative.
The allegedly hacked emails benefit trump.
Doesn't add up.
That's not all, but enough to show conflict.

Does it make any difference if trying to persuade, or invert, an election is covert, or open?

Look how the USA tried to influence elections all around the world.....

Is this whole Russia thing a opportunity for our goverment to get its grips on the INTERNET?
