I don't think you can consider polling a science. No more than handicapping a horse race.

Nothing will change the outcome - but you can debate its effect on the entire political system today. As it stands, our president is destroying the republican party single handedly.

Let's see, they gather data.
They dissect that data, and enter in any other mitigating circumstances that might effect their conclusion, through all known entities......
Then, they hazard a guess, call it a theory, and then bet it on their livelihood, uh, like a horse race or any other unknown event.

But of course, you can call it whatever you need to, like a wang in some chicks mouth ain't sex, either Roll Eyes

The inaccuracies of the 2016 election polls proves fake news. It's not that Lester Holt and the other broadcasters get together and coordinate the lies in their news stories. It's just they have the same filter in front of their eyes and get info from the same sources so the results that come out on the other end are, not surprisingly, similar.

All the information was right in front of them to predict maybe not a Trimp victory, but at the very least, a much closer race. Their bias refused to let them believe their girl could lose so they ignored reality and went with what their heart saw. This has been going on for two years now and doesn't show any signs of letting up. The media is still punishing the electorate for not supporting their candidate.

The polling was accurate (psst - she won the popular vote) - their guess was off because it was within the margin of error... because... well.... it was a guess.

Now, with this in the past, it's a fact that she won the popular vote and that our president won the electoral.

Who's polling? Every single poll I saw went from a double digit lead for hillary in the summer, to a low single digit lead in the fall.

Most were within the margin of error by election night.
