Gear Indicator

I wasn't looking for it but ebay thought I was and showed it to me.  It's a gear indicator that works off of a magnet and sensors. The idea is great, but all you have to do is get one false shift and the reading is off.

Well, it's cheap enough.
But I'd be ripping it in 8th gear all day long.   Huh

The gauge cluster I put on my street tracker has a geat indicator (Acewell 6502). It uses rpm and speed to determine gear and it's dead accurate.

The GN 250 and perhaps some earlier Suzuki's had this feature, I sometimes wonder why they did away with it. I too, try for sixth on occasion, and sometimes stay in fourth until I wake up.
