It's a gear indicator that works off of a magnet and sensors. Gary_in_NJ Serious Thumper Offline LS650 Cafe Racer Posts: 2633 Amongst the Twisty Roads	Re: Gear Indicator Reply #3 - 08/04/17 at 17:36:42 The gauge cluster I put on my street tracker has a geat indicator (Acewell 6502). It uses rpm and speed to determine gear and it's dead accurate.

I too, try for sixth on occasion, and sometimes stay in fourth until I wake up.
