In some East Cost areas, It is required to have a yearly, ‘inspection sticker’, on your  M.V.
Yours is out of date, you are driving down the freeway at 60 MPH,
A Police car, is driving the other way, at 60 MPH.
  (That’s 120 MPH  when meeting)
Down the road, you get stopped, and get a ticket, because you don’ have, a ‘current’ sticker’.

his/her, equipment,  ‘READ’ your little sticker,  radioed ahead, and you got stopped.
