I don't have a lot of money to spend but I bought some cheap LED turn signals off of Amazon after I watched a few videos on them as well as them getting decent reviews on Amazon. Im curious when  I wire them up if the black wire with the white line running through it is the positive lead and the colored wire is the negative? I'm 99% sure the light is going to hyper flash but I don't mind that, is it bad to leave it or should I just get a new relay? I would prefer to not get the relay but will if it would have ill effects if I did not put one on. I really like doing "easy" things like this. I changed the brake fluid, as well as the oil and I just, feel some what proud to do my own maintenance on the vehicle that I bought and rely on to get me to work!

Most of the aftermarket wiring has black for the ground....and the color is the power lead.

A proper flasher assembly is less than $10 - and will help motorists to see you.

Same with buying cheap LED lights - a lot of them are very dim in daylight and other drivers may not be able to see your turn signal when they are approaching (or distracted).  The stock turn signals are big - but they are bright enough to be seen.

You can use resistors to slow down the flash. But I'd spring for the new relay. It is cheap enough.

You should hook them up and see if they flash OK with the stock flasher unit ,mine did.If your changing the fronts you'll end up with an extra wire (usually gray) on both sides ,these wires are for the running lights,as the stock fronts have a double filament bulbs.
