Society HAS been going downhill since the Librul groupthink has been pushed.
The vile rhetoric and violence are yours almost exclusively.
The self same Tolerant ones decide what is intolerable, and it's everything that doesn't embrace the stupid and perverse. I'm bad because I don't hang out with Brokeback Billy and his hubby Jack.. I really don't care what people do, just don't pretend I have to agree.
And the IDIOTS who have been demanding that we import the people who are destroying Europe and calling it humanitarian are just too goofy to help.
So, pretending you're some right and proper person who is a part of a Good Group and should not be experiencing Push Back and angry rhetoric is to be expected, wrong, but expected.

In a rational world Everyone Else wouldn't be saddled with the burden and Rational adults would have kept the baby alive long enough to study the problem and figure out what the future holds for that baby. Exactly Nothing. And sad as it is, once the evidence is in, and the prognosis determined, if there is No remedy, then Why drag it out? What's wrong with people?

Two points. 1) Who are you to say a government agency gets to make that decision? 2) The government agencies decision is driven by cost. Because Britain had a national health care system, accountants are in charge of deciding life/death based on the balance sheet.
