1997 ls650

New to me bike that the previous owner really abused.

I believe the bike was layer down on both sides because both footpegs are broke off. I order some HD pegs but when I went to install, it appears the pegs are either pressed in or the bolt head that holds in the peg does not have a slot for a driver....how is this removed?
