SPRING.......finally!
03/20/17 at 08:43:12

Had some sunshine yesterday, YES......
Got to work outside, YES.....
Planted some bulbs, pulled some weeds, worked on the creek bed....

I love nature, it is so peaceful, relaxing, I feel a bond.

Lots of work still to do. This is my upper backyard, right out my backdoor.
I still have an upper front yard, that I have done a lot of work on, and then another lower backyard that needs a lot of work.
I have a trail/pathway, cut out, leading down to it, where I go to just beat back the blackberries and cut trees down.
This will be the campground for a Savage PacNorwest ho-down someday where we catch and eat salmon, clams, crabs by the campsite fire, and ride our island "dragonette" by the day  Grin

My property had no landscape at all, when I purchased it, a blank canvas, sorta like the the void you see at the TT message board here  Roll Eyes  Kiss

I did all the landscaping myself, walls, concrete, plantings, etc....
Lots to do still, but I enjoy it, even if my back doesn't.
I had to take 3 dips into the hot tub last night/this morning, just to get the old bones going, again  Shocked

Here some pixs:

Ya know if ya all helped, we could have that get to together a lil' sooner  Grin

Well I guess it is spring - but riding weather isn't here yet (for me).

Yesterday I was doing yard work - planting grass seed and working to fill in the bare spots by pulling the dead leaves out of the holes with one hand, placing grass seed with the second hand, and then throwing some soil/peatmoss mix on top with my third hand!  For a little while the sun came out and I was able to take the sweatshirt off and work in my T shirt!

However....this morning it is 39 degrees and we got enough pea sized hail to cover the ground completely!

Really nice Raydawg. It really would be nice to meet up there sometime.

Dave, I feel for you. I think it is going to be around 80 again here today. I rode on Friday and yesterday (was busy Saturday) and it was just awesome.

Uhh, yeah,, I put a bit over 100 miles on it yesterday. Ahh, the glorious scents of Spring..
Winding country roads, trees budding out, really nice stuff, but, let's don't try to make it out to be so sweet andlovable.
You've probably never stepped on a moccasins tail following a friend across the bayou. When I felt that tail twist under my foot, I knew I was in trubble,, and when that head broke the surface and twisted to be right side up and I stepped back and realized, that thing was gonna bite me, I wasn't in any delusional state about the Warm Fuzzy of Nature. As it came closer I realized that if I got bit in the chest, face or neck, I'm D e ad, so, the only option is
Slap the snot outta that thing, and I sent it spinning across the water, which gave me TIME to turn and get outta the water, But, I was paralyzed from fear, couldn't take my eyes off of it, backing away from it, I slipped down when my heels got to the slope. The ensuing chaos as the rest of the gang worked to drag me out was comedy, but I did get dragged out.
Enjoy Nature, and know how very fatal a lack of understanding or respect can be.

80 degrees, the wisteria is blooming across the front of the house, and the family COO says I can split on the Thumper as soon as I finish a couple of "honey-dos".    Ta-ta.  Cool

Your place looks quite inviting, Ray.

I enjoy riding to the morning meetings in good weather.  Wink
