It is early Spring and thoughts turn towards finishing up the winter mods and polishing up the current project to a fully finished state.

Dave has now introduced us to the concept of Farkel and it seems an appropriate subject to me -- many times we exceed the requirements of pretty and durable and go off into the realms of pure imaginative improvements -- I know I am guilty of such having improved gas tanks, air filters, magnetized oil filters etc. etc. etc.

Here is my early spring (March) entry into this year's Farkel of the Month Contest.  

This one is an "easy view" coolant reservoir/recovery system for a bike that could have had (but didn't have) a coolant recovery system from the factory.   Ya gotta admit, the stock motorcycle recovery tank systems really are sorta ugly and they have to be hidden behind some sort of plastic cover, generally speaking.  

I like being able to see the condition and overall reserve fluid level of my coolant at a glance.

I think this was a simple case of excessive inbreeding with the next door neighbor, and that dude was a dufus not a farkel.    

The momma looks to be the only one of the group smart enough to think up a good creative farkel anyway.

Wow, that's a relief.  

You wouldn't believe what the internet had a circle of queer guys doing to the poor guy in the middle when they showered him a "farkel frenzy"
