To me it's pretty simple bringing these refugees in makes no sense. We as a country have enough problems as it is why should we introduce something with literally no positive outcome. Say they came here and didn't commit crimes they would still be doing one of two things sitting here collecting welfare or taking jobs that could be done by Americans. It sucks that they were born into that life but it sucks that I wasn't born rich.

Ahhh, compassion is such an unused commodity in the conservative churches.

As has been said so often, but some will never listen, that the immigrants are not taking the jobs that americans could have. They are taking the ones American wont take; e.g. working at nursing homes, night shift at the convenience store etc. Corporate American and the robot are taking the jobs we wish were still here for humans.

Compassion is not defined by enabling the wholesale change of your country because of the corruption of another's country.

If 11 million or so (who knows the true number) illegal immigrants were not working here, jobs would still need to be done. Business would have to raise wages to attract workers and those awful lazy Americans who won't work would respond when the salary reached an acceptable level. I thought all you liberals wanted a higher minimum wage? Here's your chance.

I simply don't understand the liberal objection to illegal aliens.

Compassion? THAT'S the justification? How about we show compassion for Our Fellow Americans FIRST?
The Jobs Americans WON'T do, what a load. They can't survive on the peanuts the Huge labor Pool has created. There are so many problems, and you Will Not look at them, but you know the answer.
You do know that employers are paying wages low enough to keep people qualified for food stamps. WHEEE, that IS a corporate subsidy, provided by all. The corporate tax rate is absolutely confiscatory. But, the Dumbmasses have been trained in Class warfare and Feel that it's Right that corporations Should pay those taxes. The Consumer Pays for everything,every time, eventually. There is no logical other option.
Government programs, not just food stamps, are being used to make it possible for employers to keep people at fewer hours, and require subsidies.
If you're so compassionate, open YOUR HOUSE to a couple of refugees.

The point has been made before, more republicans go to church and believe charity begins at home.
And if you've ever gone to church you'd know they pass the plate around for contributions.
But you believe it's a government function.

As far as what jobs americans won't take... BS
You need to think of much harder work of working in the fields harvesting crops.

Interesting, the places, (Companies), that have Raised the Min Wage, for, ‘flipping burgers’.
Have seen a huge increase in, “ Failure to show Up For Work”.

Why?

Well the Increase in wages, means that the ‘income’, is Now,
ABOVE, the, “Get Stuff, FREEEEEE’.
So the Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, B.S. (Bernie Sanders) people.
Have to, be, Absent, x amount of hours, so that their,
“ Gimme, Gimme, Gimme “ Welfare,
still falls into the parameters of the,
Gimme, Gimme, Gimme area !!!!!!!!

So that they can still get their, Gimme, Gimme, Gimme Benefits !!!!!!
