I know many, myself included, who would have voted Bernie.
He is not perfect, but way better than Clinton, Pelosi, Reid.....
They hijacked my party, and governed with deceit.

Bernie is a clueless socialist idiot that would have destroyed this country.  Hillary would have been horrible, but Bernie would have been even worse.

Yeah, Bern was oft nonsensical in his interview....
I bet he wishes he had a do over on the emails  Grin
But with Bern, I think you know who he is, not some fast talking charlatan....
I believe his quest for free ( affordable) school holds many answers, and banking/financial industry has called the shots way too long.

Nothing in life is truly free.  If you don't pay for something others will (i.e. the tax payers).  If you want to go to school take out loans and pay them off over 10-30 years.  If Bernie had gotten free college tuition it would mean that you would go to college for 4 years for free, and then you would get out, get a job, and pay for everyone else to go for the rest of your natural life.  This country doesn't need more entitlements it needs less

I hear you, HOWEVER.....
We don't need more prison, welfare rolls, etc.....
Of course its not free, but neither should schooling be for profit.

They may allocate money poorly, but I don't think colleges turn a profit in the traditional sense

Why do we honestly need the sprawling campuses and all that upkeep?
So much waste in teaching.
Why not regular buildings, or malls, etc?

Administration cost, tenure:

https://hbr.org/2013/03/its-time-for-tenure-to-lose-te

As well as working, or internship, where you earn a degree, but have to give back, or serve, so many years, like a doctor, nurse, in a clinic, etc. before you can go into private practice.

Thats the beauty of free market capitalism, if you don't want that don't go there and if enough people agree then they will not get any enrollment and will be forced to close.  If you feel that strongly about it work to create such an institution and if the market agrees with you it will be a success.  Create it but don't legislate it.  Government is to big as it is, it needs to be downgraded there needs to be deregulation not more regulation
