Air/Mix Screw Picture

I don't think I have seen one here before, so here is a picture of your air mix screw. I had to pull mine today so I thought I would share.

Note there are 4 parts (in order from R to L, the order the parts go in):

- rubber o ring
- flat washer
- spring
- screw

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the picture, I've never seen one.  The end is sturdier than I thought it would be.  I had assumed that it tapered to a fairly sharp point.

FWIW, turning the screw CCW will pull the tapered end out of its orifice allowing more room for fuel to flow. In other words, CCW=richer. CW=leaner.

I was pretty sure it was a very pointed thing.

I have been WRONG,, or, that is messed up.

I was surprised too, but that's it. Not smushed by me. Flat on the end.

And.....when you open your fuel mixture screw - don't go beyond 3 turns from lightly seated.  At 3 turns the screw is so far out of the hole that no additional fuel will flow if you open the screw any farther.  If you can't get the mixture rich enough at 3 turns....it is time to install a larger pilot jet.
