On this years very Controversial, Election, for the POTUS of the USA.

Their are about, 12-14,  people,
that routinely respond to posts on  the, ’TT’, with their POV’s.

Their are about 2-6 more, that jump in once and a while with a comment.
(Some even people who, CAN NOT VOTE)

Their are,   ‘ X ‘,  amount more, that,  LOOK and READ.
(Only the Moderators know,   they are not telling,  nor does anybody expect them to.)

So, of the people, ‘watching’,
Of that 20%,  (about)   In-between.
(20% are Left,  20% are right, no changing that)

Speak up.
Anything spoken here, swaying you opinion of who to vote for ?

I like to read the TT every once in a while. I don't really have anything to say that hasn't already been said so I just read.

I have learned that both candidates are complete morons who are unfit to run their own lives, much less the whole country.  Sad

If that's all you've learned, then you should receive an F and repeat the class.

One candidate runs a business employing thousands. He's built a brand name known throughout the entire planet.

The other married a handsom, smart young man who went on to be Governor and then President  and now her name is known throughout the planet.

Good response, Web. The differences are so huge, seeing how they were lumped together had me just shrugging.. I wasn't even gonna reply. If it needs pointed out, then it's not likely to be understood.

And what Ray posted looks like something I would have written in lots of places.

Web, so you're saying both of these idiots are fit to run the country?

Candidate A is famous. He has good business savvy.
Candidate B is riding the coat tails of her famous husband.

I don't read anything in there about qualifications.  Huh

I've seen better candidates in high school elections.

They'll have to get some markers and posterboard first to start their campaign.

Of Course we never get the best people For the job as candidates. The average politician is a greedy, power hungry person. Once upon a time, before being a politician was a career, we had businessmen who would sacrifice to help guide the country. Then, some figured out that they could form alliances with others, create legislation to benefit themselves and the race for the bottom was on.
I think Trump is trying to save America. Or, get all he can before the ship sinks.. Hard to say..
But, Hillary will finish America.
It Really is
Trump or Bust.

The BEST people For the job are busy as entrepreneurs and raising families, minding their own business.
The smartest of the schoolyard a55holes grow up to be politicians.
Exceptions exist, and are Hated by all the others.
That's why I look at the news the way I do.
Whoever everyone hates, I study. I'm liking Trump more and more.

The Atlantic Monthly has only endorsed a candidate for President three times since 1860... the first was Abe Lincoln...
This year they endorse Clinton... and here's why....

Quote:
Donald Trump, on the other hand, has no record of public service and no qualifications for public office. His affect is that of an infomercial huckster; he traffics in conspiracy theories and racist invective; he is appallingly sexist; he is erratic, secretive, and xenophobic; he expresses admiration for authoritarian rulers, and evinces authoritarian tendencies himself. He is easily goaded, a poor quality for someone seeking control of America’s nuclear arsenal. He is an enemy of fact-based discourse; he is ignorant of, and indifferent to, the Constitution; he appears not to read.

We believe in American democracy, in which individuals from various parties of different ideological stripes can advance their ideas and compete for the affection of voters. But Trump is not a man of ideas. He is a demagogue, a xenophobe, a sexist, a know-nothing, and a liar. He is spectacularly unfit for office, and voters—the statesmen and thinkers of the ballot box—should act in defense of American democracy and elect his opponent.

and if you took out trumps name, wouldn't that description apply just as much to Bill Clinton? appallingly sexist,  racist,  secretive, liar,  indifferent to the constitution.

Right  wing papers...
General election endorsements by the 100 highest-circulation newspapers in the country.(See below for some of the choice passages from these endorsements about Trump.)

Some papers with a history of endorsing Republicans have not only changed sides in this election, but have rebuked Trump with unusually strong language. Here is a sampling of what these conservative-leaning editorial boards have written about Trump:

The Cincinnati Enquirer, which had not endorsed a Democrat for president in nearly a century: "Trump is a clear and present danger to our country…Do we really want someone in charge of our military and nuclear codes who has an impulse control problem? The fact that so many top military and national security officials are not supporting Trump speaks volumes."
The Arizona Republic, which had never endorsed a Democrat for president since its founding in 1890: "Trump responds to criticism with the petulance of verbal spit wads. That's beneath our national dignity. When the president of the United States speaks, the world expects substance. Not a blistering tweet."
The Dallas Morning News, which had not endorsed a Democrat for president in more than 75 years: "He plays on fear—exploiting base instincts of xenophobia, racism and misogyny—to bring out the worst in all of us, rather than the best. His serial shifts on fundamental issues reveal an astounding absence of preparedness. And his improvisational insults and midnight tweets exhibit a dangerous lack of judgment and impulse control."
The San Diego Union-Tribune, which had not endorsed a Democrat for president in its 148-year history: "Terrible leaders can knock nations off course. Venezuela is falling apart because of the obstinance and delusions of Hugo Chávez and his successor. Argentina is finally coming out of the chaos created by Cristina Kirchner and several of her predecessors. Trump could be our Chávez, our Kirchner. We cannot take that risk."
USA Today, which had never endorsed a presidential candidate (and still stopped short of an actual endorsement of Clinton): "[R]esist the siren song of a dangerous demagogue. By all means vote, just not for Donald Trump."

You mean all these newspaper whose readership is dropping like flies?

None of that matters, in fact it reinforces the notion that Trump is a third-party candidate in that he has gone around the Republican leadership  and historical Republican backers. Newspaper editors are elitist who don't interact with the general population. That's a fact, I know it because I regularly argue with my local newspaper columnist.  It doesn't matter if they're generally considered to be a conservative organization or not the people they socialize, their peers in the industry, are all liberal.

And again, the hypocrisy of those newspapers is astounding. Bill Clinton and or Barack Obama fit those descriptions just as much as Trump does.
Obama had no public service experience to speak of. If you want to count a month or two in the Senate before you announced he was running for the presidency experience, well then I guess you could.
