I'm not sure that she is representative of (roughly) half the voting population of the USA, or the world  Roll Eyes

An assh0le woman in a taxi (who doesn't mention politics) representing a major political ideology of the last 150 years.... only strengthens your argument, JoG.

And there was I, thinking the 'conspiracy theorists' were the ones whining and crying that they should be submitted to  Shocked

No, by golly, she never said
Democrats or Republicans,
And you can get awfully confused by trying to determine her ideology just by the words she uses. Really, anyone who doesn't know what she is all about after seeing what she did is completely clueless.
No, she doesn't represent half, she's too far left for working democrats.

So we determine how 'left' someone is, not by their political views, but by a 'PC rating' ?

I wish Youtube was about in Marx and Engels' day, I'd love to read their comments after watching that video.

Hey Hov.....
Not to change the subject, no, but to change the subject, anyway.....  Grin
Did you take my sage advice and buy your own pound when those smart heads predicted ounces?

How come your world hasn't crumbled yet?

I think he was talking about how Brexit was supposed to have caused the pound to crash.

But, hey,  It's a riddle, what do I know?

Ah, cheers JoG  Smiley
It was the 'ounces' that threw me, (and not the idea of 'sagely advice' from Ray)   Smiley

The UK hasn't left the EU.
If it's going to happen it will take years.
There is doubt if it will actually happen.
The EU is changing rapidly, for numerous reasons.

The public voted, I believe, for Brexit as a statement of their dissatisfaction towards the Govt generally, and for greater control of our immigration policies. Or at least that was a notable factor.
Not so much a 'divorce from Europe' as a 'wake-up call' to our Govt.
A protest vote, if you like.

Similarly, a lot of Trump voters may be voting that way because they're sick and tired of the 'politicians' getting in, and want to shake up the system.

Both are examples of voting for the wrong reasons, I think.
We, the public, must be careful what we wish for.

As it stands now, prices in the UK haven't changed noticeably (to me) since the Brexit vote.
If I change money, it's generally between GBP and Hungarian Forints.
The exchange rate is the same as it was 4 years ago when I first went there. Ditto the Euro/GBP rate.

C'mon mate, you catch the day fore I do way over here on the left coast.....
You should be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as I yank it out to empty my bladder.....
Ounce, like an increment of pound, re: British sterling  Kiss

As to the meat in your post/observation....
I agree about your characterization of the disgust MOST folks are experiencing  toward the politicians failures, however....
It's sorta like having waking in the morning stiff, totally useless, unless you know how to use this, er, gift  Grin

Trump is like waking, only to jerk it, and count it as an accomplishment, delusional I say.

I think a Hillary administration will bring more folks to join the jerk circle, but it will need to get grouped, focused, organized to unseat the tyranny of our aristocrats!

When folks wake to see the emperor has no clothes.
She will be grilled on the very fires she fanned.
She will be where the buck stops.
The drinking and guzzling of kool-aid will dry up, a stupor, hangover, then many will come to realize what many already know.
That this two party system really is only one!

Ray: "Ounce, like an increment of pound, re: British sterling ".

We have as many ounces in our pound sterling as you have 'sense' in your dollar.... none

But not having much 'cents' is a trait in you that I relish   Wink

Pounds, crushed fiscally, into ounces..

And that escaped you?

Pick on Ray all you want, but he bested you.

Yep, over my head.  Embarrassed

All I saw was Ray's post to me, which diverted the thread topic  (as he said himself) enough for me not to know what he's on about.

Ray often speaks in riddles.

This read like a riddle:
"How come your world hasn't crumbled yet?"

I could answer 'The 4 horsemen of the apocalypse haven't arrived yet'

Money turning into ounces, and ounces turning into money means something very different over here (think 'herbal').

I think the 'no ounces, no sense' bit is enough for me to redeem myself and crawl out of my cess-pool of ignorance.

But then Ray starts to talk about urinating, people waking up with a resurrection erection and it all goes back to talking in riddles  Huh

And Ray bettered me because I didn't understand what he was saying?  Grin
