Well, before Carter. No Ammo Sales recording. After Carter, you had to record, in a bound book, Ammo Sales, and they had to match, your purchase recites. After Carter was gone, no more recording of Ammo Sales.

Now it is four pages, Both Sides. As a result of the Excellent Government, ‘paper reduction Act’}. THEN, the seller, had to call the FBI, and give them ALL the information on that 4473. and then wait, and then in 30 sec to 5 min, get back one of three answers. ‘Proceed’, ‘Delay’, ‘Denied’. Proceed/Denied need no explanation. “Delay”, was, ’They will call you back’. If after 3, working days, you heard nothing, you noted the date and time on the 4473, and proceeded with the sale.)
Back to the end of Clinton’s, ‘reign’. 99%, were up to, ‘Delay’. So when I went fishing to a lake about 4 hours North of here. And in that town, their was a gun shop. I would always stop and look. If their was something I wanted to see closer, I asked the person. Their answer: “Are you from around here, are you willing to come back in 3 + days”. If I said no, they wouldn’t even take it out of the case.
Now some dealers, did Not ask, BUT, required You to Pay for it, before they, ‘called it in’. (And stated if you are Denied you would get all your money back). But if, ‘Delayed’. Tough, they did NOT care, if you came back. They used YOUR money for free. AND, if you came back over 30 days. You had to start ALL over again!.

Hitlery get’s in, Ammo priced will, JUMP again, and the shortage will get worse.
Trump get’s in. Will find all you want. (but of course the prices will be higher than they were before BO)
