Could the pump be changed over to a chain drive and thus be spun faster? There's not a lot of resistance to an oil pump, sobthe drive chain need not be too heavy. A smaller driven gear, larger drive gear would also yeild the same result.

California Gender:	Re: Thoughts on the oil pump Reply #1 - 07/27/16 at 15:20:12 Oil flow is only an issue at idle, plenty of flow/pressure at speed. 5 psi at 1000/1200 rpm 50 psi at 4000 rpm and straight gears is more efficient than a chain drive. what we need is a variable speed drive. or adjust the idle speed correctly.

Can't seem to get it perfect and lose sleep about the thought of idle being too slow.

I had their TrailTech Vapor speedometer on my bike for a couple years. It did have a Tach and Temperature gauge....along with clock, reset ODO, Total Time, and an outdoor Temperature gauge that was not very accurate.

It is not possible to use the sensor on our spark plug, as it is recessed too deep. The sensor for the spark plug does fit on the head stud however, and that is a great place to take a temperature reading.

You will have to remove the fuel tank and the chrome head cap cover to access this area.
