Engine idle RPM
06/25/16 at 18:41:29

Saw in the "what every newbie should know" section that a low, lumpy idle is not good.  Suggestion is to get idle at 1000 rpm.  How do yo know what the RPM is without a tachometer?

It's fairly easy, find a level piece of road ,put the bike in first gear, and without the throttle open, set the idle so the bike runs at ten mph when the clutch is fully released.
