Not talking about the kid. About whoever was supposed to be watching him. Probably staring at her smartphone while he crawled through the bushes. This whole sorry incident is 100% the responsibility of whomever that child's guardian is. Spin it any way you want, blame any one you want, second guess the way the zoo handled it, whatever. That doesn't change the fact that whoever was supposed to be watching that kid, and apparently wasn't, set the whole chain of events in motion. Everything else is just a social media circle jerk.

You dart an animal,... and he's angry and scared for a few minutes before the drug takes effect...
No way the zoo could take that chance.
Ultimately, they are responsible for that animals death. The barriers aren't just to protect the people from the animals, they must protect the animals from the people.
In this case, they failed...

I know when I was a kid I surely wanted to crawl into the enclosure at the zoo to get closer to the animals. Did my parents let it happen? HELLLLLL NO! Just sayin... Roll Eyes

Did you guys hear about the surfer who got his leg bit off? Then authorities searched the area, found a great white swimming around, and killed it?
I'm sorry...but if you enter any habitat that contains wildlife and you have an altercation with the wildlife, that isn't the fault of the wildlife...it's an enter at your own risk situation.
