the ONLY ones I have tried on my bike personally are these:

K&S Technologies 25-3231
and
K&S Technologies 25-3232

these will work without modifications, they are made specifically for our bikes as a direct replacement.
I have them on my bike right now.
You need BOTH, one is a left and one is a right and they will work for both front and rear signals ...

all the other aftermarket lights in this thread REQUIRE modifications, either to the mounts or the rails or the wiring or gawd knows what other mods need to be done ...

Thanks DesertRat.

My motivation right now is to get back on the road. Since the turn signals I ordered online are soon to arrive, I'll likely try to get them mounted until I figure out a longer term solution.

Current thinking now is to remove the side rails and mount the lights much like Greg did in the handyman manual to what I assume is his "reworked" rear fender (see attachment).

I also have the oversized 140/90-15 tire which came with the bike. So I'm a tad concerned that the wires will make contact with the tire. I'm 215 lbs with the shocks set to the stiffest setting. I'm assuming the best choice would be to attempt to route the wires via the brake light hole.

Finally, I may end up purchasing the "Universal Flasher Relocator Bar" as described by youzguyz in http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1407255954. This would allow me to put the rails back on at least and avoid the unsightly bolt holes. I'm guessing I might need to extend the wires on the lights, but I'm OK with a soldering iron. What gauge is the wiring? 14, 16, or 18?

I'm not disagreeing about points raised concerning the safety of these lights, I just really want to be able to drive to and from work when the sun is shining.

Thanks again everyone for the help. Please point out any problems with my current plan.

Upon further consideration, I now feel it may be the right choice to get the aftermarket OEM replacement as suggested by DesertRat. It is my right rear signal which was crushed. Can anyone please confirm that the following link will replace the rear right:

K&S Technologies 25-3232 http://goo.gl/mxYc1k

My understand is that this would fit both Front Left (3 wires used) and Rear Right (2 of 3 wires used).

I will order once I find out if you gurus approve. Thanks.

Right, I understand that you have them installed. Cool pics. I just wanted to make sure that it is indeed K&S Technologies 25-3232 http://goo.gl/mxYc1k
that I need to buy for the rear right turn signal.

The left rear isn't broken, so why fix it if it ain't broke? Right?

Well....I would have a hard time putting on just one turn signal...when the pair won't match!

that was my exact thought process Dave ... once I put one on, they didn't match ... one was nice and shiny, the other "road worn" ... didn't look quite right ...

my thread on this MOD is somewhere here ...
I ain't gonna hunt it down ... too f#@%ing lazy today ...  Wink

oram ...

I think I wound up buying them on AMAZON for a bit less than I could find them on eBay ...
your mileage may vary ...

the one you linked "looks" right for your application ...
the lens screw looks like it's on the bottom, so that would work for a right rear, I think ... which is another reason I bought them as a "pair" ... I wanted to make sure I got the correct one installed in the correct position on the bike ...

my research and purchases were numerous over a month or two ... I purchased and sent back MANY, MANY signals which claimed to be direct swaps or fits and were outright lies ... until I found those K&S ... there's a thread on this forum somewhere which chronicles my "journey"  Grin
