Ichiban Motors is "Bad Ass"....and he has a lot of interesting videos....and tools,  He can get a lot done with those little scissors on his knife....even cutting nails!

I'm screwed. I've looked Everywhere and I Just can't find those metric vise grips.
I'm pretty sure my breaker would pop before the wire welded onto the tank.

I can see soldering a nail on or brazing and just leaving the rod, cut it off and use that to pull on.

On a more serious note, I have a dent I have been meaning to pull.  Has anyone ever tried to epoxy a nail to the tank and pull it that way.  I'm sure I would have to ground down to the bare metal first and they have to repaint the whole thing.  Just a thought?

If you will post a picture I'll tell you how to approach it.
I did bodywork for several years.
JB weld might be good enough.
Where, exactly, in the dent, matters.
And a light, wide faced hammer to work the high spots down.

Jog, it is in a pretty easy spot to get to.  Using JB is a good idea.  I have been contemplating a pretty good over haul and maybe painting the fenders, tank, etc.  I would have to take it off the road for a few months though.

DR, actually I used the hot glue kit from harbor freight to get it as good as it is.  Surprisingly, it worked pretty good.  Particularly if the dent was fairly easy to get to.

Every dent  comes with a high spot. Before you sand it, hold it under a fluorescent light and rotate it, look at the reflection of the bulbs. Use a sharpie, mark the high spots. Any lines in the dent will have a high spot at the end.
Going to the deepest part and trying to pull that isn't the best plan. Go to any crease and start there, just , dang , I Need to see i t,  but, don't try to pull it all at once.
The last part in, is the first part out.
There is a reason why bodymen have those wide faced, light hammers.
You ever lightly hold a drumstick and allow it to kinda bounce on the drum, while using your pinkie to keep it dropping with enough force to bounce again?
A lot of light taps, barely moving the metal wins.
And, you can rent a dent pulling stud gun and slide hammer.
Much better than trying to glue nails.
You Can screw up metal by sanding. You want to rip the paint off, 36 grit is what I used.
80 grit and a DA and you can warp the metal from heat.
More of a problem on hoods and the roof,

If it's punched hard, you may have to heat shrink the metal.
