Since you ride your bike year round......I thought you did the same thing with the boat!

I mowed the grass for the first time last Wednesday - I am not looking forward to that chore that always comes when warm weather returns.

Dave, here where I live I have two "scrub oak" trees (the ones with the small leaves)
I have to rake my yard all winter long or it will be buried in two or three inches of these little 2" long by 1" wide leaves, they get EVERYWHERE!
I rake every week in hopes of keeping the yard clear.... yeah right....
I rake so much my sand is disappearing slowly and the tree roots are starting to show....
I hear lots of folks have a dump truck come down from upper Alabama with some dirt to build their yards back up.
I think I will just wait until next year and have some folks come in and re-sod my yard Smiley

I was thinking about getting a red-neck yacht (pontoon boat), so I could join the folks over in Destin for the week end yacht club meets.

Old Rider:

You need to carry a quart sized baggie around with you - and every time you go out somewhere that has sand or dirt....fill up your baggy and take it home with you to dump in the yard.  In a few years you will have your yard back!

And if you get the Pontoon Boat.......we might have to schedule a ride to come visit! Smiley

Nice Raydawg. Enjoy it.

Dave I agree with you, if MM gets that pontoon boat we may have to have a ride to the water.  Grin

I bet I know how that island got its name 😛

Dave, riding a bike is a lot easier that boating in the freeze, and weather comes up quickly.
There is a limited fishing season during the winter, but those guys are diehards..... When you can't tie your knot cuz you can't feel your fingers, I pass  Grin

Happy days, raydawg! We went crab fishing the other day, too. Not in as much style as you: for us, its wading in the shallows towing a floating plastic tub and catching the  crabs with a rake then flick em into the tub. crab raking is fun and we got a nice feed. And its warm here.

I figure the first guy to eat a crab was pretty hungry.
