Fuel Gauge?
03/06/16 at 06:48:22

This has probably been discussed a thousand times, so I apologize for beating a dead horse, but my forum search did not find anything useful.

For my 2014 S40, is there a decent add-on fuel gauge available?  Checking the usual suspects (Google, revzilla.com, etc.), I can't find one.  Without a trip odo, it would be nice to have one even if it's not super precise.  (I'm not going to put holes in the tank and attach a clear tube to the outside!)

Thanks. Embarrassed

It sounds like a plug and play process but it would require more work than it is worth. Just keep track of your miles and refill every 100 miles or so.

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

Add fuel every time you hit 00 on the speedo
100, 200,300 ad infinitum, it's not hard to do
Adding an actual fuel gauge would require drilling the tank, period, there is no way to just stick a gauge on there without adding a sending unit (drilling the tank) and wiring it up, and adding an actual gauge
can't be done
Maybe you could make your own clear fuel cap, so you could look in there , but otherwise you need to drill, install, seal, wire , and get the geometry right for it to work well
