are our wheel bearings "sealed"? i have removed and reinstalled my front and rear several times and just got to thinking that i clean and lube the axle and bearing outsides but never the innards like i do repacking traditional bearings on my utility trailer hubs, etc.

The stock ones are sealed on the out side but not the inside.

gotcha. i have never taken the bearings out of the hub, so i just wiped away any dirt or grime, slapped grease on the visible exposed areas, and bolted it back up. 5500 miles, garage kept, kept clean so prob nothing to be concerned about, right?

When you do go to  change them you can buy a generic sealed bearing from the bearing store, no need to buy genuine. I don't recall the number but it's a really common one, 6303 or something about $7 ea here so probs $2.50 for you guys.
