I think ours is over 14 volts ,but I have to check it again. would testing the voltage with the tender connected ,tell you anything more ,than testing the voltage immediately after the tender is disconnected?

I wouldn't disconnect the tender and test the battery immediately. It'll give you a false reading that's too high. Let it sit for a little while and then test it.

By the way, Auto Zone can load test your battery for free. I'd call them first. I don't know how competent they are with motorcycle batteries. They might refuse to test it since it's out of their comfort zone.
