No power on bike. Need help. (Read 70 times)

ryan_3987 YaBB Newbies Offline SuzukiSavage.com Rocks! Posts: 2	No power on bike. Need help. 09/24/15 at 21:08:09 The bike coughed and shut down completely as I was pulling over. Hooked up to a new battery, checked fuses and still no power. Anyone have ideas of what the problem can be? It is a 87 with about 15000 miles. Engine was taken apart cleaned 2 years ago due to sitting for almost 15 years. No problems until now.

Check the ground for the battery. Just not enough info yet.

Reply #4 - 09/25/15 at 03:56:29 Check the plug connections for the handlebar wires under the front of the tank. If one comes loose, the bike's dead. The one on the right killed mine for a few minutes until I found it. Still looked ok but wasn't completely plugged in anymore. Will the tail light come on if you put the switch in 'P'?

Sorry to waste everyone's time and thanks for the responses for trying to help.
