Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.

Little late for that.
The bolt (#12) is steel. The handle (#11) is aluminum. That is a brass spacer to protect the handle. It is almost gone on one side. I'll take pictures before I beat it out of there.
I will grease the bolt before I put it back together.

The thing about living up north here....is the winters are long. It gives a fellow months to take things apart to clean/lube them.
Things like all the pivot points for the clutch/brake (hand and foot), the cables, the rear brake shaft, and change the front brake fluid, clean the air filter, etc.
