put your questions in RSD and howto's in the tech section.

read the guidelines and you'll know what to do.

10 v is enough to spin the starter
but not enough to start it.

if you can't get 12 v you need a new battery.

You're not off kilter.
You done kilter.
And you are not the first to do that.
Don't be the first to do it again.
OHHH,snap, you can't.
Takes some time, but if you won't use the kill switch, it'll make you at least turn it off. Then you can be the first to park at the store and go in and leave the key in it, only to panic as you're leaving the store and patting pockets, hunting for the key,,  ahhh, Drat, nope, I did that a few times, too.

I'm in no-start purgatory myself and called tech support with Powermaster who make car parts.  He helped me out a few times with things on the car so I thought I could maybe get some general insight.  Not sure if this applies to motorcycle batteries, I can't see why it would to car batteries and not ours, but at 11.9V a car battery is dead and needs replacement.  So 10v is not salvageable and it's new battery time.

If you can't get 12v, you'll never have enough to turn the starter and fire the ignition.  Get a new battery.
