3,485 square feet. Plenty of dirt. Dude, you're set UP,, You've got room for a garden and storage shed,
What part of Houston?

I certainly do have room for that
It's in Garwood, not Houston, I only mentioned Houston to note they have NO zoning restrictions
Garwood is an unincorporated township, so the only zoning restrictions are the state restrictions
So far as I know, that means as long as you have power and running water, you're good

When I got out of the Air Force (after 4yrs) I stayed on my old mans place in an 10X24 travel trailer.
It had a toilet but no hookup, so I built me an outhouse, of course you would probably have to use a bluebox, maybe you can rent one.
That's how I lived from march to 0ctober when I got back in the military (they offered a bonus).
As long as the trailer is a roof what don't leak, run an extension cord off a pole (have the power company put up a construction box).
Tell them (the city) you are demoing the trailer.... or planning to build... and get one of them $35 permits, unless as you say, there are no restrictions.
You can have a construction box run to an empty lot if you want, so you don't have to have a permit for that.
So you have power and water....get you one of those big sheds for the $200 a month, then rent one of them blue boxes for your toilet (they probably charge per month), then all you have to do is build you a tent for a shower area.
And save , save , save Smiley
Good luck on your endeavors.....
better yet.... find you a rich old widow and be a gold digger, or a boy toy..... could be fun for awhile Smiley  Grin

well, the roof DO leak  Grin but hopefully the tarp gives at least a quick fix
I really like the idea of knocking down and rebuilding the trailer from the frame up, Which would give me plumbing and  room for inside Moto storage  Cheesy
But I'm not conversant with travel trailer construction, the shed would deff be the easiest option, aside from the plumbing issue
I have shore power (some one said there might be a construction box, too, but I haven't looked) shore power is 50 amp hookup, so all the power I could need is already on site
Judging from what I've seen in the area, I doubt anyone would care one way or the other which way I went

PS, if you know of any rich old ladies looking for a gold digger or boy toy out my way, send her my Phone #, I have good references  Grin

Looks like Garwood has a bit of history. Check this house out.

How far from and, I'm guessing South of Houston is it? You in city or county?

Probably about the same as Columbus, 90 miles more or less
I'm inside the city limits, but as it's an unincorporated township, there's not a lot to it  Grin
El Campo is supposed to be not far away

Not so easy to find here, is there an app for that?  Grin Grin Grin
The idea of hidden mold in the trailer has occurred to me, with the roof leaking
The shed sounds better and better, despite the lack of mobility

No, not me, haven't posted in this thread at all  ----  that was Old-Rider.

BTW, mine picked me up in college and has carefully maintained me and our relationship for lo these many many years, for which I am grateful.    She bought me my Savage, since I left off riding at her request when the rug rat came long --- sold all my guns upon request too.

Pregnant women aren't totally rational, you know.   Mono-focused to a strong degree, they are.   As mothers of young children, fierce and determined.

Got to admire a mother, you know.

However, they do recover after the kid goes to college and they appreciate your supporting them when they needed it.   And the replacement stuff was much better stuff, too.

Smiley

Plus it helps that my wife is a much better person than I am.

Well Oldfeller, you scored a true keeper there
Congratulations finding such a gem in a world increasingly filled with lumps of coal
Though I's argue that selling all the guns made the rugrat less, not more, safe, but as you say, women can be pretty irrational when they have kids

I use to have one EXACTLY like that..  and it did not have A/C at all??
... well... put in a window unit for the mother in law when she came over to visit.  She smoked like a chimney and wife would not let her smoke in the house.
