You can thank me later!

I think I managed to murder every bug in the state tonight! It sounded like rain! When I got home my helmet looked like I glued carpet to it! Your bug problems are now solved (at least if you're local to me)!  Grin

Is there any product I can apply to my faceshield that would allow the bugs to slide off instead of splatter?

They don't splatter because of friction.
maybe something like rainx, but don't use that on plastic.

I was talking to a guy the other day about riding and he told me about the time he thought he was riding into a small cloud of smoke over the highway. Nope, it was bees. Bet that was a fun little trip.

On the Dragon trip one year, MMRanch and I hung out and had dinner in Brevard.  While we were eating a strong rain shower moved through.  After dinner the rain was over, it was dark and foggy as we headed out on 276 toward the Blue Ridge Motorcycle campground.  The first part of the trip paralleled the Davidson River....and we were riding through something that looked like falling snow in our headlights.  It turned out to be a huge swarm of bugs......something about the size of large gnats in a thick fog.  When we got up the next morning the bikes look like they had shredded coconut stuck all over them!

A couple Biketober Fests ago I rode through a huge cloud of lovebugs. Had to pull into the next gas station, stopped at the pump and squeeged the squashed bugs off my faceshield, didn't take the helmet off, just squeeged it still on my head. Some little kid next to me really cracked up watching it. my bike looked like it grew black fur after that ride.
Dave, if you were riding with your mouth open you could of had a quick "snack" Wink
