I thought we had the 3 wire issue resolved in the other thread....you just need to run the black wire with the white spots on the bike to the mounting bolts for the ground.

Doesn't fit why?

Metric bolt spacing on an American bracket?

We likely can't guess what will help you if we don't know what you have?

Where did you get the bracket? Do they sell lights?

the mounting bolts do not line up with the mounting holes on the bracket..... idk what type to use.... I like the Ford model A style light but want one with three wires, so I can splice the original harness plug onto it an just plug it in....

Well. Since I can't hold the back of the lamp against the bracket and see what to do, I really can't say, but, best I can tell, the hole in the bracket will have to be cut out so those lumps can pass on by. Just those two spots,,
But , they're not in the same pic, so, I can't even know if it can mount..
You may just hafta build a bracket.

Welcome to the world of "customizing".  Rarely will you find anything that just bolts together....especially if you are going to buy from different sources.

If you want something that just bolts on....you are going to have to limit yourself to products built specifically for the Savage - folks like RYCA and Blue Collar Bobbers make products that are pretty much bolt on....however you are going to have to make changes to adapt the wiring.

You are getting way too hung up on the 2 wire/3 wire issue.  All you need to do is put a round end terminal on the end of a wire.....a terminal that fits over one of the mounting screws for the brake light.  Then put on the nut and tighten it down....then you run this 3rd wire and the other 2 wires up to your wiring harness and splice it in....Easy Peasy!

Nobody can guarantee the bolt spacing on the lights will be identical to your bracket......since you bought your bracket from Pazola....contact them and see what lights they have that fit the bracket they sell.

Or modify the bracket.
Looks like two bolts hold the lamp bracket to the plate mount.
You can build that part with  Harbor Freight tools.

Thanks Dave, and JOG, Im gonna mod the bracket to fit.... sorry  for all the wire dilemma... this is my first time doing something like this on a motorcycle.  Im handy with a wrench, but not so great at electrical..... In the end I can say that I built it myself. Thanks again.... Without this site, I wouldn't have learned what I have about the bike Smiley

I fear to get a Dremel. I'd go nuts and start engraving my name on everything. I'd get a holster and take it everywhere. Nothing good could come of it.
