Oldies but goodies,... these two are mine... Cool...
(the British one on the left is particularly sturdy, no wiggle in the mechanism at all)...

Sometimes a wrench will flare out where the load is. Many it's tilted, whatever, I hammer it back flat. Some people grind it off.. I think that's a bad idea.

Funny you should post this.... I have been searching for a "Ford" wrench to add to my tool kit for a job I am applying for in fairhope.

We used the 14" version made by facom or drop forged Chinese version... I think Serow has one pictured on his signature block.

Only thing is, the original ford wrenches are only 9" long with a 2" adjustment when I will be needing a 2 1/2" at least (oil tank coupling nut on a C130 engine).

Ebay has tons of "Ford" wrenches but the facom ones are selling way high... I am not sure I can afford a $40 wrench after spending so much lately on cheap socket sets ect..... i'll post a pic or two of my box I am throwing together.

I have been using cheap Chinese stuff for ever..... easy to replace and some of it lasts a long dang time!

Harbor Freight has become my new "go to" store for stuff, I can buy a whole socket set for what sears (ok..Kmart) wants for a single Chinese made craftsman socket.

I'll be going to a flea market this weekend to see what I can find.

These days I buy Harbour freight or Snap On / Matco, depending on the tool
Craftsman today just isn't any better than HF, and not even close to Snap On
Only thing that gripes me is HF metric sets tend to skip some important sizes, at least for MC work
