So...when I was getting ready to haul my bike to the Dragon I needed two things:
1) a ramp
2) a device to keep my bike stable in the back of my truck.
So, I built this that also serves a third purpose, which is a work station.
In this pic, I was removing the rear tire so I could inspect and clean the brake dust from riding the rear brakes at the dragon too much so disregard the stack of lumber holding up the rear wheel (the brakes were cleaner than I thought...I was overly concerned).
It only works for loading on a loading dock or ditch where the angle of the ramp is trivial, but with this device I can independently set the ramp up on the tailgate, roll the bike into the carpeted 'chocks', secure the bike with straps from the engine guard to the eye bolts, and then grab the rear fender and push the bike and platform up into the back of the truck and twist the whole thing (easy to slide on my plastic bed liner) to a 45 degree angle for transport (with additional tie downs to the truck itself).
Easy as pie!
And, when I need to work on it off of the kick stand, I just roll up into it and temporarily tie the bike down as seen.
