Exhaust diameter question.

I know WD brought this up in a previous topic of mine about fence railing lol what is the diameter (inside or outside) for the adapter piece I would need to fit on the stock header. I dont have readily access to a welder so if I can get a suggestion for a sealant to use and a form of a clamp that would be appreciated too. I dont remember seeing U exhaust clamps that small but I guess anything is possible Lol.

Here are the specs on the adapter I made.

The best and most affordable clamp is the one made for the Harley Muffler. You can find them for about $ 10 a pair on eBay....not sure how much at the dealer.

So as long as the ID is 1.68 inches to the header I have an adapter... Ahh lol this is going to be interesting to fit all this. I can weld and do metal work but the closest welder I have access to is 142 miles sound at my step fathers
I hate the apartment life.

Most of us have been there at some point in our lives....for me that lasted about 11 years while I was in college and just starting my career. Luckily my uncle lived nearby and I could access a garage and tools when I needed to - but unfortunately I had a 35 years span without a motorcycle (in retrospect that was a big mistake).

Oh it's horrible. I make 'decent' money at 13 an hour but credit due to credit and my work history with Aspergers. I have gone through 5 jobs in a year because of it, I am good now but I cannot work with people or be put behind a counter. bank's see me as a flight risk even though I maintain constant employment (Pffffft on them)

I do remember seeing a post of someone using an aluminum can cut as a diameter increase and masher. would something 1.75in ID work on the header with aluminum can stuff?

I live in an apartment, but since they know I actually know how to fix my stuff and won't leave a car up on blocks with parts scattered across the parking lot they let me do what I want with my vehicles
Proabably helps I've worked on the owners car a few times
the history as a mechanic likely helps, too

21st century Amerika, punish the innocent, let the guilty have free rein, stifle liberty for 'the greater good'
When I did live in a complex that didn'r allow even me to work on vehicles there, I'd just do it on the weekends
It's be back together by Monday morning
except the bike, the bike came inside for repairs, since I lived on the ground floor
Manager "where's your bike"
Me "in the shop"
"oh ok"
little did he know 'the shop' was my living room

Lulz I have thought of that. now my fiance's apartment (We 'live' in different places to dodge 1,500 a month in child care costs) people do it all the time in the Very back lot where my bike is actually at.

Bummer, I've ridden a dual sport up a staircase before, but I'd never try it with a cruiser
