Foot Pegs---Which to buy?
05/14/15 at 13:49:05
I just recieved my new 6" Forward Control plates from Mule on this Forum/Board.
They look great, and I am excited about getting them installed.
I need to replace my original foot pegs. They are bent terribly by previous owner driving/dropping drunk...him and his college buddies.
I just want footpegs...nothing fancy. If anything, a little longer and fatter, as my feet/boots are rather wide.
What can I purchase that will bolt on? I'm not much of a fabricator...
Thanks all,
Tim

Here's a good link about footpegs from the Tech Section.

I used some ISO pegs that were a take off from a HD. Simple replacement after a quick trip to Lowes for some minor hardware.

Those look exactly like the ones that I picked up and put onto mine - & how I did mine...
An additional way to make HD pegs fit is to take the bolt that holds your stock peg with you and your new pegs into Lowes and root around until you find the right size replacement stainless allen head bolt and a brass collar that fits in the hole. You may need to add some stainless washers to fill some of the slop, but it is a heck of a lot easier than trying to drill out the hole on custom pegs.
