oil leak?
05/13/15 at 08:17:41

well I noticed just now (last day I rode I was stuck in traffic on a hot day) I have an oil leaks of sorts. the whole rear of the bottom end as well as the sides are covered in oil and road grime. I checked my oil level and its at the low mark from its original mid mark. but there is no oil under it and I warmed it up to see and no oil either at operating temp. I guess it just overheated and pee'd its self a bit?

Make sure the thru case bolts, peg bolts, are tight.

Are you missing an "O" ring on your oil cap?

As George Takei would say "Oh my!"  guess you need a stud for that pipe flange.

1 is either the speedo cable seal or the clutch lever seal, oil from either walk around the same area.

2 is probably the oil fill cap seal

3 is probably the head plug

Im willing to bet its one of the first two. The clutch lever has the most residue around it. And nothing is leaking from the head
